We stayed for 3wks & LOVED it!! We have been caravanning all of Spain the past 8 months and A Vouga is definitely our #1 favorite! Why? 1. It's super dog friendly. At the beach and inside the restaurant. 2. Location: it's on a beautiful white beach that has rocks on the left and a nice 1km walk to San Francisco (SF) beach on the right. Our dogs loved hunting crabs and lizards in the rocks. The camp beach is nice and quiet. SF beach is crowded (esp on weekends) and offers kayak/SUP rentals. 3. Restaurant Terrace: a nice big terrace (1/2 sunny/1/2 shade) that overlooks the beach. We enjoyed coffee every morning while watching our dogs play on the beach. Food is ok. They offer a daily menu. Try the Pluma and Chuleta. 4. Good free WiFi near reception. We got a pitch right in front of the reception and was able to work online daily. 5. Chapata bread is super good! We bought 5 loaves before we left. And stored 4 in the freezer. Still eating them a week later. 6. Staff is nice and friendly. 7. It's 4km from the kite and wind surfing beach, Lariño. The facilities are basic but functional. Always had hot water at showers and dish washing station. You'll need to bring your own soap for the bathroom. A dog shower is available. Highly recommended! Will return!
